Free Licensing Course D Training for Coaches , Assistants & Parents

Hi Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Parents; The league will be offering a FREE Long Island Junior D License Course for soccer this coming fall. Please pass the word around to all coaches, assistant coaches and parents during your practices & games to sign up and attend this FREE course. This is a great opportunity for all and the league in becoming a stronger soccer club. The course will be held on Saturday November 7th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Deer Park Community Center. The Deer Park Soccer is proud to provide this to all our Coaches, Asst Coaches & Parents. This course will give them a great insight within the soccer world and an exciting educational opportunity to pass along to the players and their children. The Long Island Junior "D" Course is a four - hour course designed for those who will be coaching/assisting and parenting with youth soccer players from 4 to 10 years of age. We strongly encourage those parents and coaches who are involved with soccer with their children to take this course, in order to learn the proper methodology in teaching and developing youth players who are participating in soccer at a club level. The Course is open to All Parents and Coaches of the Deer Park Soccer Club in good standing. Teams with the greatest numbers of participants (minimum 3/team) will receive a prize for attending and completing the course. Deadline is Wednesday November 4th, walk ins may be limited.
The course instructor will be provided by Long Island Junior Soccer and a "D" License Certificate will be provided upon completion. The course is part classroom and gym time and provides the following topics but not limited to:
* Dealing with Children and Parents * * Shooting *
* Team management * * Passing *
* Time management * * Receiving *
* Dribbling * * First Aid *
The course is an excellent entre into your child's world of soccer and will serve as a great foundation for future course work and training. We look forward to providing our members with this opportunity to attend and learn the "beautiful game of soccer". Thank you, The Deer Park Soccer Club
